With the immense grace of Bhagwan the 95th year of selfless love was celebrated at Sai Sruthi, Kodaikanal. The celebration started with Omkaram at 6:15 am followed by Nagar Sangeerthan. The holy Prasanthi flag was hoisted at 7:00 am. Bhajan singing filled the air with the melody of holy love as the service activity started.
5000 Blankets as vasthra dhaanam and 5000 packets of Tamarind Rice (Narayan Seva) with Mysore pak (Sweet) was divided into ten groups and distributed at 75 locations. 10 vehicles and over 100 sevadals from various nearby districts were involved in exhibiting the abundant love of Swami to the people of Kodaikanal. 24 municipal wards and over 50 hamlets were covered identifying the needy by the local Coordinators. A preliminary meeting of all the Coordinators to enlighten them with Swami’s system of service was held at Sai Sruthi on 22nd Nov 2020. These Coordinators belong to various communities and religions who had zealously joined us in this massive selfless out-reach program.
The contingent of vehicles aligned for distribution loaded with the above materials were flagged by Shri Venu Srinivasan and Smt Mallika Srinivasan,. National Vice President Shri Ramani, Tamilnadu State Vice President Shri Suresh, State Spiritual Coordinator Shri Vijay Krishnan coordinated the celebrations . Sri Santha Sathish, Convenor of the Kodai Samithi and other Samithi members organized the logistics and distribution of the wonderful service activity.
10 STF personal along with the IFS officer, Officers of Sri Srinivasa Trust and Sevadals of SSSSO were involved in this seva activity to reach the remote tribal villages. For the first time the horses used for tourist rides around the lake were distributed with jackets to protect them from the severe winter cold. Horse feed and tubs for feeding were also provided to them. The horse owners were provided with blankets and necessary aid to help them through the Covid-19 Crisis.
A scintillating Bhajan session was held at 4.00 pm in the evening with soulful Bhajans and melodious Jhoola songs. The program concluded at 5.00 pm with Maha Mangala Aarthi.
The Seva program involving people of different religions reaching out to the people of varied faiths was truly a show of Sarva Dharma in Action. We thank Bhagwan for providing us with an opportunity to bask in the Divine glory on His 95th Birthday.
