Aum Sri Sairam
As Sai devotees we are all aware our most lovable Bhagawan was born once pious Mother Eswaramma completed the Sri Sathya Narayana Katha Vrat and partook the prasadam. Our most adorable Lord is also named ‘Sathyanarayana‘. What other reasons do we need to perform this most sanctified sadhana
The sacred Sri Sathya Sai Sathya Narayana Katha has been personally blessed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and was performed in His Divine Presence at Prasanthi Nilayam in July of 2010.
Katha Pooja – July 2010 – Prasanthi Nilayam
On 18th July, 2010, the Sri Sathya Sai Sathya Narayana Vratha Pooja
was held in Sai Kulwant Hall at Prasanthi Nilayam. 1008 couples were
in attendance. The prayers began with Vedam chanting and all the
rituals were performed by priests, as per Vedic rites.
The Katha Pooja takes about 45 minutes to do and can be performed by anyone, individually or in a group setting. The sacred Sri Sathya Sai Sathya Narayana Katha is very powerful.
The sacred Katha consists of five chapters which describe the loving nature and innumerable miracles performed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
As written on the first page of this Holy Book:
“Whosoever reads or listens to the sacred, wish-fulfilling Katha with full faith and reverence, showers of grace & blessings will fall upon them, and their prayers will be answered.”
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu is the Paripurna Avatar of this Age of Kali. Never was there such an avatar, nor is, nor will be. It is our greatest good fortune to become contemporaries of this Avatar. Having got this human life, here is a chance for us to redeem our lives. One of the most effective and easiest path to achieve this is to perform the Sri Sathya Sai Sathyanarayana Vratam, wherein we get not only communion with the Lord through pooja, but also listen to the glories of the Lord through Katha Shravanam.
” Come one, come all !
