Sairam, By the divine blessings of our most beloved Swami, Independence day was celebrated very well at Anna Walkers Park in Kodambakkam through Zachariah colony Samithi of Chennai Northwest district where they gave us the opportunity to be the guest of honor. The Chennai corporation Zonal officer Mr Rajkumar & DP, Sri Guruprasad were the guests of honour. (15.08.2023)
The tricolour was hoisted & our organisation plan of 1 crore trees in the next 2 years was also projected. The corporation zonal officer also told that he will extend his support in nearby parks also.
We provided 40 medicinal saplings yesterday & the Association members itself were enthusiastic to plant all of it.Already we had planted 54 saplings before.
The Anna walkers association expressed their gratitude to our organisation for supporting them in making the park greener.
The corporation zonal officer also appreciated our Swami’s organisation for the Prema Tharu project.

District Level Office Bearers Meeting
On June 24th Chennai Northwest district Office bearers along with Convenors had a meeting with State President (SP) & State Office bearers from 7.15 am to 9.30 am at our District center Sai Charanam.
SP gave inputs about our overall district performance.
SP also gave a demo in Sai connect for sending messages to Samithi members by Convenors. Bal Vikas, Spiritual activities, Prashanti Seva/ seva activities, Anandavani, Vidya Vahini, PS training were also discussed in brief by the respective State Coordinators..State Youth Coordinator- mahila appreciated both our district youth coordinators for their respective seva doing well . Also many suggestions were given by Convenors also for overall improvement of the organisation.

Report on Chennai Metro West Sri Sathya Sai Prema Tharu project – Saligramam on 04 Jun2023 .
We are glad to inform you that around 200 saplings of different varieties of fruits bearing and forest trees were planted at an open space available at Saligramam , Chennai Metro West (CMW) District. These trees were planted as part of Sri Sathya Sai Prema Tharu program on the occasion of World Environment Day. This project was executed by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations along with NGO – Guild of Service (Central) SSBH (GOS, who provided the place).
Following are the key highlights of the project.
1) It was a Yagna where we could see good representation and participation by Group 3 Balavikas children (55 Nos), Group 4 Balvikas children, Balvikas Gurus (15 Nos), Balvikas parents , Youths, Convenors , senior members/devotees of SSSSO, District Office bearers , State Office bearers etc where everyone (including non members – people from different walks of life) could get an opportunity to plant at least one sapling.
Preparation time was only 3 weeks for this project of relatively large scale and nature that too executed in one of the challenging times of the year – peak summer . A well planned , a very good coordinated and thoroughly executed among the State Office, District Office , GOS and all the Samithis of CMW which was par excellence .
2) An Apt Chief Guest (retired Principal of college, lover of trees, has planted 1000 trees) – gave a highly motivational and inspirational talk and instilled – a feeling of bonding with trees and their importance in overall ecosystem which is a must for every human being to know , understand and act responsibly on this planet Earth now.
3)Local authorities – Councilor and a Police Inspector participated in the proceedings.
4) Planting of saplings was conducted in a very disciplined and smooth manner to the utter surprise of many, thereby it took less time and one could feel the unseen hands of Bhagawan
5) The Mother Nature is the Best Teacher – Baba. Gratitude to Swami. “Prema Thaaru” showcased the innate unity in us. A brief spell from The Lord of Varuna, on the VERY next day, evidences the ‘success’ of the function. CMW appreciates each and every Sevadal in the District for their continuous involvement/planning and conduct of the Public function. Let’s continue to PLEASE our Dear Lord

Buttermilk Seva
Sairam Chennai Northwest Buttermilk seva was done by all the Samithis of our District last month. We could satisfy the thirst of more than 1.6 lakh people in the scorching heat of last month which was one of the hottest summer ever seen in May .
Many Samithis did this seva for the whole of last month. It was all due the combined initiative of all the Samithi cConvenors & sevadals especially Mahilas not to forget the Balvikas children .About 131 children participated in this ButterMilk seva . Also mahila sevadals were also the most active during this seva .Thanks to each Sevadal who did this seva everyday arranging for the Curd, the water cans , masala paste to mix it and make a tasty Buttermilk to satisfy the thirst of so many Narayanas .

Sai Prematharu activity
Sairam. Zachariah colony of Chennai Northwest with Swami’s blessings were able to plant 45 saplings at the Anna Walkers Park, Kodambakkam yesterday on May 1st..
The Park association gave us the space and also they gave a commitment to take care of the trees planted. The gardener had already done the digging process & kept the place ready. The walkers in the park also were attracted by this noble cause & they also joined to help us to plant the saplings in the park.
The planting of 45 saplings was done within an hour which was a miracle in itself.
At least six walkers came and greeted our sevadals with a loving and smiling “SAIRAM” in the park which showed they knew Swami and our organisation doing noble seva
We started with 9 saplings on Pallaku Seva day previously. Now 45 saplings were planted yesterday.

Blissful Pallakku Seva
Sairam, With the immense blessings & grace of Bhagawan, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Tamil Nadu (N), Chennai Northwest district started the Pallaku seva called 98 days with Swami at Samithis to strengthen the samithis & do more sadhana at Samithis by the members & devotees. We started on Jan 17th keeping in mind Swami’s 98th birthday year we planned this for 98 days & Apr 24 aAradhana day was the 98th day .
We have 14 samithis in our District & in each Samithi, Swami’s Pallaku was kept for 7 days. The respective Convenors & members came out with unique ideas for each day during the 7 days Swami visited their Samithis. Every day was a day of not only sadhana but also of celebration. Each Sunday was kept as a procession day & all the district Convenors & members used to assemble for every Pallaku whichever Samithi the procession was taking place.
Generally we started the Pallaku by 7 am so that the general public will come out to see the Pallaku. We also had both shirdibaba & SathyaSai baba in the Pallaku so that new devotees always wanted to take aarti on the road. Every Saturday evening Swami will visit the next Samithi .
There was moments of tears , happiness in the eyes of many old people when they could see Swami’s Pallaku in front of their homes. Also there was more unity among Samithi members ,more seva & more sadhana happening in each Samithi because of this Pallaku seva. One such Saincidence happened yesterday 23 April 2023 on the final day procession. We were singing bhajans along with Swami’s Pallaku and suddenly 3 doctors came running & asked us can you bring Swami’s Pallaku to their hospital which was going to open that day by 9.30 am. Then we altered the route to accommodate the doctors request. They had put a red carpet welcome for the Pallaku & Doctors told us that the ICU was named as Sri Sathya Sai operation theatre. We entered & Swami opened this hospital through the Pallaku Procession.
So all the doctors were happy & took arathi inside the hospital. We also were happy that Swami’s plan was a masterplan keeping the date of Pallaku Procession & date of opening the hospital on the same day when we were passing through the backside of the hospital.
We had also printed handouts for Balvikas centers & Samithi contact numbers along with vibhuti packet & chocolate as Prasadam for the general public. Also each sevadal and youth had a role to play in every procession and it was followed systematically.
Overall we could feel the joy & bliss a devotee was enjoying by seeing the Pallaku. Overall it was the active engagement especially the Youth, convenors & office bearers who made this possible. Grateful to swami for giving us this great opportunity for seva ,sadhana & Love through this Pallaku seva. Jai Sairam

Sairam today’s 16 April 2023 program at Virugambakkam was excellent. It was very perfectly lead by Mr Venkat, Dist Disaster Management coordinator, Chennai West. Pallakku seva & Planting of Prema Tharus
Sairam on 26 March 2023, Chennai Northwest had their Pallaku seva at Zachariah colony as part of 98 days with Swami at Samithis program which will end on Aradhana day . Around 100 members participated. This was part of strengthening each Samithi by bringing Swami’s Pallaku to each Samithi for 7 days in all 14 Samithis where each samithi will have their respective programs on each day & every Sunday Pallaku will be taken around the nearby area. We could see many senior citizens in the 70s & 80s welling up with tears in their eyes when they saw Swami’s Pallaku taken near their homes.
We also planted 9 Prema tharus as part of the National initiative during the Pallaku Seva. Swami would have been very happy as he blessed the Zachariah colony samithi members with honey coming out of Swami’s photo after the Pallaku seva got over.
Vedam Workshop & Jyothi Meditation | 26th March 2023 – Sunday | Sai Charanam Hall

Vedam workshop will be conducted by Shri. Shyam Kumar & Smt. Vasantha Rajaram – State Veda Coordinators. It will be an Orientation for Vedam Learning & Chanting in preparation for the National Initiative Rudramayam. In the orientation, it will be taught how to spell and chant each aksharas and swaras as per vedic script. This would be useful to both existing & new learners/chanters. This can be attended by both experienced chanters and who are willing to learn Vedic mantras.
A live demo of Jyothi Meditation by Smt. Chennai Northwest district of TNN had the vedam workshop conducted on March 26th by Shri Shyam Kumar & Smt Vasantha Rajaram which was attended by 76 members. Subsequently Jyoti meditation class was taken after veda workshop by smt Padma Ravindran.

Honoring the Winners of the Essay Writing Competition
Chennai Northwest gave the medals to the winners of Essay writing competition at Jai Gopal Garodia school ( JGGVV) school during their assembly on Jan 19th.we requested the Principal to give the medals to the winners.Some pics attached .This school is a great support for all our BalVikas activities. The students of the school ended the assembly session singing Swami’s arathi song which they have learnt .

Chennai Northwest district has started Pallaku Mahotsavam for 98 days covering 14 Samithis for the 98th birthday celebrations. In each Samithi Swami’s Pallaku will stay for 7 days. Yesterday 26 Jan 2023 was Annanagar East Samithi 28th anniversary when Swami’s Pallaku was taken around the area with many in the public showing arathi to Swami. We distributed photos, vibhuti & pamphlets which briefly explains about all the wings of the organisation & contact no of all Samithis with address. Month Long Nagarsankeerthan
Yesterday (14 Jan 2023) we completed the month long Margazhi Nagarsankeerthan in Chennai Northwest which was done in samithis & temples in our district for 30 days. We had an average of 40 to 50 members daily attending the Nagarsankeerthan. We also had a special Nagarsankeerthan for Balvikas children where we did in 4 centers and 84 children participated in that day.
So we continued the Nagarsankeerthan today also on the auspicious first day of Thai maasam or month also on a spiritual note with Aumkaram, Suprabhatam & Nagarsankeerthan at Thiruveedhi Amman temple where Swami had physically visited this place. Also Pongal was celebrated on a joyous note with a small dance by the rural children of the Thirumangalam samithi & distribution of Pongal.Thanks to both our Dist Spiritual Gents & Mahilas Coordinator for coordinating & followup for 30 days & collecting the data of how many devotees attended the NS daily .Jai Sairam.

District Level Talent Search
Sairam, With Swami’s immense grace after formation of the new Chennai Northwest district conducted the first District level talent search on 6th November at Ranga Nursery school.
About 80 Balvikas children participated in various events. We are thankful to each and every Guru for their effort, time, and devotion for the children to perform their best in the District Level. We shall look forward to nurture and groom them to State Level which is happening on 25th December. The Principal of Ranga Nursery school was pleased to see the conduct of the program in their premises. She has requested to start teaching Vedam in her school from our District.
All the Gurus, parents, members of other 2 wings, DLOBs, District President, joined Zonal coordinators hand in hand for the smooth happening of the event. We are grateful to the parents for bringing their children to the venue.
Our Beloved Swami’s unseen hands in organising and conduct of each and every aspect of the event as the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent was there.. He is our Sadguru and Jagadguru & this maiden effort to find BalVikas talent as a new district is offered at your Lotus feet Swami

Mega cleaning activity of CMBT Koyembedu Bus stand–Swachata se Divyata Tak activity
Chennai West & Northwest districts together took up a mega cleaning activity of our central CMBT Koyembedu Bus stand yesterday i.e. oct 16th from 7.30 am to 11 am as part of the Swachata se Divyata Tak nationwide campaign.
In this around 150 gents sevadals alongwith 50 volunteers from an NGO called Hand in Hand & Koyembedu Bus stand sanitation workers also joined the drive. The activity started with Bhajans & breakfast for all the volunteers assembled. Then the cleaning started with all the materials provided by the CMDA officials alongwith our materials too. All the sevadals were happy after finishing this seva because after the pandemic this was the largest sevadal coming together for a mega seva activity & the Bus stand was made cleaner than before . Thanks to all the sevadals who participated especially the youth and the Convenors, service coordinators, members, District Office bearers of both the districts which was ably supported by our State office bearers.
Our SP Sri S R Chandrashekharan , State service coordinator Sri Sarveshwaran & State Youth Coordinator Sri Rajesh also made it possible to attend this activity & honor the persons in CMDA , NGO Hand in Hand & Green Friends who supported us in this mega seva. We also we got about 70 blood donors when we were doing this campaign for which a seperate stall was put up inside. Thanks to Sri Balaji & Sri Sai Mohan, Sri Anand ,Sri Raghu from West & from Northwest Sri Sathya, Sri Jagadish ,Sri Swaminathan & Sri Sivaramakrishnan , Sri Sivagnanam who were involved along with both the District Presidents from the preliminary coordination which happened 2 or 3 times.
We are grateful to our beloved Swami for giving us this seva opportunity. Our State President has told this should be a continuous activity every 3 or 4 months till there is more awareness created & the Bus stand becomes a better place. Jai Sairam

Walk for Life by Balvikas students & Youth Mahilas
Chennai Northwest district organised a rally on 16.10.2022 called Walk for Life” by Balvikas students & youth mahilas from thirumangalam junction to Sai Charanam which is our district center.Total around 210 of them participated including BV students,parents & BV gurus along with mahila youth & sevadals in this walk rally from morning 7 am to 8 am. Balvikas students held Placards showing Swami’s messages & went along the route singing bhajans. There was a slight drizzle for a few minutes &then Swami stopped it for the sake of our Balvikas children & youth walking & singing.The rally ended at Sai Charanam with Arathi & prasadam .Thanks to all the Balvikas students,BV Gurus,BV parents , mahila youth,sevadals, convenors,dist office bearers ,SP & State level office bearers who supported this rally. Chennai Northwest district had 3 programs on Vijayadasami day starting with Sri Rudram chanting in the morning & we had a Balvikas Talent show from 10.30 am & evening from 5.30 pm we had Villupaatu by Sai Madhuram group on Lalitha Sahasranamam. All the 9 days we had Lalitha Sahasranamam chanting by Mahilas & evening we had devotional concerts daily by our members itself on most of the days. In Villupaatu Swami’s 9 code of conduct was linked with Lalitha Sahasranamam. Many of us were left with a question on how we shall practice Swami’s teachings .
National Medical coordinator Shri Ram Manohar Rao & Shri Ranga Rao (Retd IAS) & Principal of Venkateswara engg college gave momentos to the BalVikas children.Grateful to Swami for making these 10 days blissful & also raised a question on each one’s mind on how to transform ourself by following at least following one or two of Swami’s teachings in life

Kuthuvilakku Pooja at Sai Charanam
Sairam we had kuthuvilakku Pooja today 9 Aug 2022, at our Chennai Northwest district center Sai Charanam in the morning which started by 11 am and ended by 12.30 pm . This was an initiative by our District Mahilas both Spiritual & Service Coordinators with the chanting of Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam. We were happy that 102 Mahilas participated from all samithis in this Divine chanting with Kumkum & flowers. Also 12 Mahila sevadals were fully involved in giving kumkum & oil for each vilakku. After the chanting few bhajans were rendered & arati shown to Swami along with Devi. Prasadam along with Thambulam was arranged for all who participated. All of them could feel the joy & bliss because of the divine chanting at Sai Charanam. Thanks to swami for giving us this Kootu Prarthanai with 102 Mahilas. Jai Sairam
Veda chanting & Bhajan session at Kamakshi Amma temple
Sairam. Yesterday 6 Aug 2022 in Chennai Northwest District, our vedam team & bhajan team were invited by the Kamakshi Amman Temple management at Mogappair for chanting vedam & Bhajans from 9 to 11 am as part of their Adi Thiruvizha program. During Vedam session 14 Mahilas & 14 gents participated and during the bhajans session it was 22 Mahilas & 18 gents participated in this program from our district. There were also about 25 people from the public & this program could be heard by public outside because of the loudspeakers put up at different places outside the temple. The vedam chanting & bhajans went off very well and we could feel the divine vibrations at the temple .Thanks to swami for giving us this opportunity. Jai Sairam
Seva for the visually challenged
Sairam..With Swami’s divine grace Chennai Northwest Mahilas did seva for the Visually challenged on the occasion of Gyandarshan’s – Seethamma Scholarship on 6 Aug 2022
Around 90+ Visually challenged girl students participated in the rally for which 12 Mahila seva dals accompanied them for guiding them on the route and also did chappal seva, Prasadam distribution & went with them towards the hall from 7.45 am to 2 pm..
The procession started from the Vinayagar temple ( Mahalingapuram) till Mahalingapuram Ayyappan temple and then proceeded to hall nearby.

Butter Milk seva under the scorching Sun
Sairam. All Samithis from Chennai Northwest District did Buttermilk seva in the month of May where around 90000 to 1 lakh people would have quenched their thirst during this month long seva in many Samithis. Many sevadals had experiences about public expressing their gratitude in many ways .One of the public who used to have buttermilk daily at one of the centers was very happy that he wanted to honour the Convenor & Sevadals of Mogappair though he did not know that we are serving the Swami in each of them.
All our sevadals who participated in this seva could see in the eyes of the beneficiaries the joy, happiness, satisfaction and gratitude when they had the buttermilk and returned the tumblers after quenching their thirst in this hot summer.. Many of the beneficiaries reached out to Swami’s photo to show their love and respects to Him.

Bhajan session before the Exam in Jai Gopal Garodia School
Today’s bhajan in the morning at Jai Gopal Garodia School, Annanagar. The school had requested us to have our bhajan in their assembly in the morning from 8.45 to 9.30 am before the students take their board exams. We have been supporting the school through our Balvikas till the pandemic. Many students of the school are trained to sing our Sa bhajans. Today also it was a combined bhajan by the students and our singers.

Vadapalani temple kumbabishekam seva – 48 days Seva
Aum Sri Sairam. Vadapalani temple kumbabishekam seva which was going on daily for the last 48 days was completed yesterday. Grateful to our state office bearers , Vadapalani temple authorities who arranged for this seva…
We are also grateful to all our Sevadals & Samithi Convenors & DOB from our Northwest district & Chennai West who made this seva possible. This seva lasted for the last 48 days morning & evening from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm & evening from 3.30 pm to 8 pm daily. On sundays & Tuesdays more than 10 sevadals regularly did seva at the temple mainly for crowd control.
The temple authorities were very happy with our Sai brothers for supporting them these 48 days. Also we packed more than 2 lakh packets of vibhuti during this period which was done by Mahilas at their respective samithis/homes.

Temple Cleaning Seva at Kurungaleeshwar temple
Chennai metro NorthWest district had arranged for a Temple cleaning seva at Kurungaleeshwar temple at Koyembedu today 27 Feb 2022 morning at 7.30 am. It was very happy to see that total 63 Sevadals came for this seva from our district. 34 Mahilas & 29 gents participated.
This was the first temple cleaning after the pandemic & there was great enthusiasm for Sevadals to participate & do this great seva for this temple which is more than 1000 year old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The temple looked rejuvenated & brightened up after the cleaning by our divine Sevadals .The seva ended with bhajan, arati & prasadam by 1 pm Thanks to swami for giving this great opportunity for this new district.

Sairam with the divine blessings of our beloved Bhagawan, Sai Charanam the district bhajan hall for the newly formed Northwest district was inaugurated yesterday on Feb 11 th by our Chennal Metro SP Shri S R Chandrasekaran alongwith IAS officer Shri Sai Kumar ,Shri Ram Manohar Rao, National Medical Coordinator and Smt Sudha whose family had given this place for the same. Also state office bearers ,District office bearers, Convenors from our organization also participated.
Shri Veda Srinivasan and Veda chanting team conducted Ganapathy homam, Navagraha homam, Dhanvantari homam and Vastu Homam.
Divine Vigraham of our swami was also given permanently for this hall by Sri Veda Srinivasan and was named Anandha Sai. After the Poornahuti ,Inauguration & Sai bhajans were rendered by our district Bhajan singers.
Our Chennai Metro President, Shri. Chandrasekaran addressed the Sai devotees which was followed by Vote of thanks by DP.The program was compered ably by our DYC Sathyanarayanan. The Youth ,Mahilas,sevadals & convenors of our district did a commendable job by beautifully decorating the premises and by lovingly offering their seva during the event. After Mangala Arathi, Swami’s Prasad was served.
Later, the Mahilas of our district did Kuthu vilakku pooja by chanting Sri Durga, Sri Lakshmi, Sri Saraswati, Sri Lalitha and Sri Sai Ashtothrams followed by bhajans and Mangala Arathi. It was a very blissful day for all the members gathered there. we pray swami to send more devotees to the bhajan hall and enjoy the divine bhajans and also take us all to the path of self transformation.

Amruthakalasam kits to Leprosy Patients
Sairam .on Feb 10th Swami blessed us to serve 50 nos Leprosy patients with Amruthakalasam at Kanagammachatram near Tiruttani. This was a govt program for Leprosy patients rehabilitation organised by the State Leprosy Dept of Tamil Nadu which was attended by Health Secretary of the State Sri J Radhakrishnan & Tiruvallur District collector Sri Abi John Varghese .Some of the pics are attached.

Kumbabishekam Seva at Vadapalani Murugan Temple
Sairam, as part of Vadapalani Kumbhabishekam Seva held today 24 Jan 2022, sevadals from Chennai Metro North West reported at 6:00 AM at the temple premises.
This was the first seva opportunity after our newly formed Chennai Metro Northwest district on Jan 14th this month. The temple’s kumbabishekam was on 23 Jan 2022 & they had asked for our Sevadals to support them on this auspicious occasion. They had provided our Sevadals with a special ID card as it was a lockdown so that there was no obstruction fromthe traffic to reach the temple. They did wonderful seva & happy to be inside the temple serving the Temple authorities with their divine scarf & mask to protect them from morning 6 am to afternoon.
We are proud of all the sevadals who did seva which was telecast on Tamil channels too. Thanks to our Sai Muruga & all our State Office bearers who were involved in this & gave us this divine opportunity for seva. Also packing of 1 lakh vibhuti packets is going on in our district for the temple
We were blessed to do the following seva activities,
- Drinking water distribution to all devotees.
- Ensuring the empty used bottles are collected in a waste bin ensuring cleanliness of the premises is intact.
The seva ended at 11:00 AM with culmination of Kumbhabishekam
