The Madras Pinjrapole Goshala Seva
The Madras Pinjrapole goshala houses about 2000 cows and 125 workers cater to the needs of the cows. This goshala adopted by Chennai metro north district undertake feeding the cows activity during MattuPongal, scorching summer in May and Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. The most touching moment is to see the cows swarming to consume the vegetables. The dire need of this seva is in scorching summer when the cows are drained of fluids in their body and thus 3 0r 4 tons of water melon and coriander leaves are being administered by our district as Narayanaseva to the cows in commemoration with Swami’s Aradhana Mahotsavam every year. This year the mahilavibhag of our district around 60 sevadals took a massive vegetable distribution comprising of 10 tons of vegetables for the cows on Sunday, 2nd September 2018 in commemoration with Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. Besides this a tree plantation activity of 50 trees mainly teak and rose wood to provide shelter to the wandering cows in the 12 acre was undertaken by 30 gents youth on Sunday 28th October 2018.
Narayana Seva to dogs at Dogs home
Chennai Metro North district has been blessed with another noble seva for the 400 street dogs sheltered in the dog home in Pulianthope area run by the Corporation of Chennai and monitored by the “Bhairava” organization. As the number of dogs is very huge feeding them has been a tough task for the government and thus invited NGOs to support them. In this connection NarayanaSeva comprising of rice mixed with milk was offered as Narayanaseva to the sheltered ones on Sunday 23rd December 2018 in the afternoon. Besides this our district erected iron gates to segregate the diseased ones from the healthy ones to stop spreading of infections. We are very grateful to our beloved Swami for blessing us with this noble seva.
Medical Centres
“With the blessings of our beloved Swami, SaiKripa free medical aid centre came into being at Tondiarpet in commemoration with Swami’s 61stbirthday in 1986. Since then it has been serving an average of 50 patients per week with the dedicated seva by sevadals of Korukkupet, Tondiarpet and Washermanpet samithis. Now Sai Kripa Center is shifted to Sri Sathya Sai Nivas, Perambur and working on all sundays on nearby areas of Perambur People. Number of doctors-4 nos

Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyoti Program
“Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi project was established in CMS, Ekangipuram and CPS Kodungaiyur way back in September 2015. The challenging task was removing 1000 liquor bottles in Ekangipuram school. After cleaning work bal vikas classes were held. A unique exercise of self-audit of enlisting the noble values in the classmates was administered and a certificate certifying the noble values in every child was offered which made them feel elated as a matter of pride. In the Kodungaiyur school repair works in the bathrooms were held and play toys were given to the children. The children were given notebooks and offered Narayana seva as a part of Swami’s birthday celebrations every year.
In 2017 the project was shifted to CMS, H & S, Narasimha Nagar in the most backward Vyasarpadi area. The project includes bal vikas classes, arts and crafts demonstrations, growing vegetables for noon meal scheme. It is to be noted that Guru Pada Pooja was being held in all the three schools in commemoration with Guru Poornima celebrations.

Free coaching classes
Free coaching classes are being held for six students of corporation school in the samithi premises of V P Colony Samithi. These children learning parallel while balvikas classes were being held were inspired and thus joined balvikas classes. Of these two are Muslims, two are Christians. All these children have attended Prasanthiseva in May in 2018 and earned laurels from the elders of the Organisation. They have also undergone bhajan training and are lead singers in the samithibhajans. Besides this they take part in all activities of the Organisation at district and samithi levels. |
