Elements of nature have been an integral part of worship in Indian culture. The conch shell, the ‘Shankh,’ (in Sanskrit), or Sangu, as it is referred to, symbolizes the divine. The sound emanating from the conch shell is associated with ‘Om,’ the first sound of creation. It signifies purity, auspiciousness, and truth.
Shankhabishekam or Sangu Abishekam is being practiced for many centuries and plays an integral part in rituals. A conch shell is a sacred element in the Pooja (offering). The conch represents the mind and the water it contains, the thoughts.

Samithis Service Coordinators (Gents) meeting
SAIRAM to all, want to update from CMW district perspective, there was a Samithis Service Coordinators (Gents) meeting arranged by our brother Ravi R – DSC – with State Service Coordinator – Sri Sarveshwaran on 28 Aug 2022 .
The objective of meeting – mainly expansion of Samithis through various different activities .
The meeting went very well and we had a good participation from all Samithis.The key highlight has been – it was very interactive session amongst all participants, ideas shared and discussed by one and all. The potential of many Samithi Service Coordinators was brought out.Every participant appreciated the overall session, as for many it was eye opener. The participants suggested to have review meeting like this every quarter . Please find below snapshots of meeting.

Flood Relief Seva Activity
Sairam, with Bhagwan’s grace today (27/11/21) we Chennai Metro West have done Narayana seva to around 175 Narayanas in the adopted SSSVIP village. BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA 96TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Sairam, with the grace of our bhagawan, Chennai Metro West organised a blood camp ( as part of 96,th birthday celebrations) in association with Egmore Children’s Hospital on 20th November 2021 Out of 55 people attended the camp, 50 people have donated. Remaining 5 people got rejected due to less HB level. Some photos are enclosed for reference.

Sai Gayathri Parayanam | 96 Lakhs Parayanam Offering
Invoking Bhagwan’s blessings, SSSO TN, CMW district proposes to offer a minimum of 96 Lakhs Sai Gayathri Parayanam at Bhagwan’s Lotus feet as a part of Swami’s 96th Birthday Celebrations.
The Parayanam has to be done by individual member at their convenience of 216 counts per day (108*2 times).
The offering has to be started on 15th October 2021 – On Vijayadasami Day and to be concluded on 23rd November 2021 – Bhgawan’s 96th Birthday.

Vaccination Camp at Sai Pushpanjali – July 2021
Sairam to all,With the blessings and grace of our bhagwan, 200 people (185 samithi and their family members and 15 from public) were administered covidshield vaccine at Sai Pushpanjali on Monday, 12th Jul 2021,

Amrutha Kalasam kit distribution
Sairam, with the abundant grace and blessings of our beloved Bhagawan, we have distributed 700 Amrutha kalasam prasadam kits to various beneficiaries including temple priests/ archakas, manual labourers etc on 3 July 2021. The prasadam kits contains 5 kg rice and other 21 essential provision items. Each prasadam kit costing Rs 1050/- approx.
Alongwith each kit, we have given one Sanathana Sarathi, yellow vibhuthi packet and a small laminated photo of our bhagawan.

Chennai Metro West-VACCINATION DRIVE
Sairam, With the abundant blessings of our bhagawan, 221 sevadals in the age group of 18 to 44 and 39 members in 45+ category got vaccinated in the special vaccination Camp organised at Sai Pushpanjali, T Nagar .
We have utilised full quantity of 260 doses of Covidshield.
Special thanks to Sri SR Chandrasekhar, Chennai Metro President and Sri Sai Sreedhar, Convenor of Kilkattalai samithi for organising this special camp.
We thank senior officials of Chennai Corporation for their support in completing this camp in a successful manner.
